I been using the TRENDnet 54Mbps Wireless G TEW-432BRP Router for over 3 years as both a wired and wired router. It works great as a wired router for splitting my Cable Broadband connection with 3 computers, and a Xbox 360, so they all have internet via Ethernet network cabling. With Cable Broadband internet connections, it does not require configuration in most cases unlike DSL which usually requires a username and password to go online.
As a wireless router, it has good range, and speed. I can be using my laptop with a wireless G network adapter to be surfing the internet, or watching YouTube on the third floor of my home. I don't notice signal dropping and slow downs while using the router. It is also very easy to configure the wireless security as long as you read the manual.
However, I notice if I do not use the router for many days, or if the wi-fi has been on for a long time. I sometimes need to restart the router by unplugging it from the wall and replugging the power adapter back in, and the WiFi wireless internet is back once the router is restarted. This isn't a very major problem since I mostly use my Desktop computer which is connected to the internet/network with a Networking cable. I only use Wi-Fi when I don't have access to my desktop computer because someone is using the computer room for something, so I need to use my laptop to access the internet via wireless networking.
TRENDnet 54Mbps Wireless G TEW-432BRP Router has all the features I need like 4 extra 100/10MBps ports for wired networking computers, 802.11G 54MBps wireless networking, WPA2 wireless encryption, built-in hardware firewall, portability, ease of use, durability (it is still running after 3 years which is pretty good for something which is on 24 hours a day for everyday).
Using a wireless router with wired ports for sharing your internet and network connection with all your computer will save you money since you do not need to subscribe to an internet connection for each computer and laptop in your house. 14.89-23.31 USD for the Trendnet TEW-432BRP Router wireless router is a great deal.
